The 11th New Industry Congress took place on 13-14 October 2014 in Warsaw, Sheraton Hotel). The event is bringing together the most important representatives of the energy sector. PSI for the second time was there as a Partner of Congress and actively participated in a debate on smart energy industry.
New Industry Congress involved about 1,000 people: representatives of the biggest companies in the sectors of energy, oil and gas, as well as representatives of the public administration, the EU structures and the media.
During the two-day discussions it addressed topics related to the Polish energy and climate policy, the common European market, trends and prospects for the RES development, as well as development of the gas market. One of the key issues was the development of smart grid and smart metering and related opportunities to improve the quality of power transmission as well as prospects of implementation of IT tools in the energy sector. PSI voice in the panel discussion about smart energy industry was Dr. Michael Wold, sales director of PSI Energy.
