PSI Polska will roll out PSIasm at Phytopharm Klęka S.A., a pharmaceutical producer of The Nature Network global group, manufacturing active substances and plant extracts for the production of drugs and dietary supplements, as well as finished products based primarily on natural ingredients. Drugs, dietary supple-ments and medicinal products offered by Phytopharm are widely available under well-known brands such as Bioaron C, Dentosept, Biostymina, Bronchosol, and others, which have won trust of both consumers and pharmacists over the years.
The company relies on cutting-edge technologies to control its production processes. It has recently put into service a state-of-the-art herbafin® liquid product manufacture and packaging department, with the annual capacity of approximately 40 million packaging units. The line is adapted for the automatic feeding of spoons and syringes, as well as atomizer spray cap application. It can handle both glass and plastic packaging. All processes are compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the European Union and in Russia, and meet the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 22000 standards (including with regard to serialisation and medical devices).
Production in the pharmaceutical industry is very specific, as it often calls for a rapid response in order to adapt to ever-changing market needs and to manufacture series of finished products as quickly as possible. In order to meet the challenges of such rapid changes in production schedules combined with the optimal use of resources, Phytopharm decided to implement the PSIasm software complete with APS and MES modules. After implementing the system at the Martin Bauer plant, also a member of The Nature Network group, a decision was taken to roll out PSIasm in another production company.
The deployment and launch of the PSIasm platform bringing together APS and MES functionalities, as an advanced production scheduling and control system, will allow the company to predict resource manage-ment and therefore create a well-balanced production schedule. In the long run, this will optimise order sequencing and enhance the processing of client orders. The project will also involve the integration of PSIasm with the iScala ERP system.

With PSIasm in place, Phytopharm Klęka will have access to up-to-date data, and will therefore deliver products in keeping with the expectations of its clients”, said Aneta Gawrońska, Managing Director Finance at Managementservice Klęka, as she justified the decision to deploy PSIasm.
The PSIasm software will optimise the processing of orders and therefore significantly enhance the effi-ciency of planning processes, use of resources, and the company’s continuing growth in keeping with market expectations.
