Deutsche Transalpine Oelleitung GmbH (TAL) has contracted PSI Software AG with the delivery of an upgrade for the operations planning system PSIcarlos 4.0. The primary objective is to uniform and optimize the monitoring of the supply processes for refineries in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.
Operational planning at TAL has been performed with the PSIcarlos computer-aided planning system since 1995. The software has been continuously developed and adapted to meet the new requirements.Due to further developments in oil transportation technology, increasing demands on process and system security as well as the optimal use of resources, TAL required a functional expansion of the existing system. With a modern user interface and intelligent planning logic, PSIcarlos 4.0 ensures efficient planning processes that take various KPIs into consideration. In addition, new user requirements for transport-logistics can be adopted more quickly. The special focus of PSIcarlos 4.0 is the development and evaluation of various scenarios for operational planning and the optimized operation of the technical system and its resources. TAL’s new operational planning system meets the requirements for the oil transportation tasks necessary in today’s oil logistics and for pipeline operations. The new system is being developed based on PSI’s group platform, the most modern software technologies and PSI’s own optimisation software Qualicision. It will be optimally integrated into TAL’s new system landscape.
