Following the successful commissioning of the fully automated depot management system at the Franowo tram depot in 2014, the new multi depot system has now been successfully implemented at two further tram depots and two bus depots. Thus, all five depots of MPK in Poznań are operated on one central server and one database.
For the optimized dispatching of the around 600 tram and 970 bus drivers, the use of additional functions allows creation of duty schedules, accounting of the working hours and plus ensures monitoring of the efficiency of transport operations. In addition, innovative algorithms support the monitoring of absence and the creation of vacation schedules.
"As a modern and future-oriented company, IT investments fit well with our corporate strategy. The new tools will support our core processes. The system will allow not only to create duty rosters, but also to monitor the efficiency of our transport operations as well as optimal deployment, thus improving the working conditions of our drivers," emphasized Krzysztof Dostatni, Chairman of the Management Board of MPK Poznań.
